Only 1 More to Go...

Last exam of the semester is in 4 hours and it's going to be a doozy!  Time for a nap!  I can't sleep though, because there is too much going on through my mind right now.  It's a really minor thing really, just badly timed I guess.  I seriously didn't mean for it to turn out this way.  But believe it or not, I'm perfectly happy to just drop this topic.  It will better in the end not to waste any more time in my life thinking about this.    Plus, it'll mean more quality time to spend with those close to me.

On the less delerous and more practical side, I found out why my room has been frigidly cold for the last week or two.  A little duct tape fixes everything (ok, a lot of duct tape).  Good luck with any exams that anybody else might still have!  And have a great holiday season, too!  Stay warm!

A Little Rest Finally? ... wait, buggy.  Damn.

Big ol' props to Yan for thinking of a relaxing night for our chemE group when the rest of us were too exhausted to do so.  Thanks!    It was retro-gaming night for me as we went to Dave & Buster's and I played a bunch of games that I haven't played in years.  And I have lost my abilities!  All those RPGs and the ability to instantly reload action games have made me soft in the last few years.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YAN!!  Don't worry, I won't tell the world how old you are .

I still haven't gotten a bus ticket to go back home for Thanksgiving.  I've always been under the assumption that it didn't matter as much for Greyhound.  Hope that doesn't bite me in the ass next week.  Alright, I'm really tired now and I may be going to see Falling Water by Frank Lloyd Wright tomorrow morning in lieu of buggy.  No rest for the weary, isn't that what they say?

Buggy is COLD!

I slept from 2am to 7am before I woke up for buggy this morning.  Then after buggy, I sleep from about 11am to 5 pm.  That's 5 + 6 = 11 hours of sleep!  Man, I needed that!  It's time for another harrowing week of schoolwork and exams.  I keep telling myself that it's almost over.  Just one more month of hell.  Come next semester, I should have much less work... oh please let me have less work...

Anywhichways, after a mad rush to get ready in time to make it onto the bus to the ASA semi-formal, it turned out fairly well.  The aquarium where it was held was an extremely nice setting for a formal event.  The morning after that, Lucy went on the Tri Delt retreat which lasted until today.  Now just as she gets back, she gets to help Tri Delt hold their annual crush party.  She's quite a busy girl this weekend!  I'd better give her a little support and healthy encouragement tonight.

'Nother Week Down

Another week full of schoolwork, sleep deprived nights, and tight deadlines just passed. All in all, you will find that this is nothing unusual for me.  What was different this week was that I finally got my butt back into looking for a job.  After a few hectic weeks, I found myself at the beginning of November with yet an on-site interview, much less a job offer.  Some news came yesterday night, however, in the bad-news-good-news format.  Shortly after opening a very polite letter of rejection from the Bristol-Myers Squibb Company, I received an email from the lovely folks at Westinghouse for their 2nd round of interviews!  Only one step away from a real job!

In videogamey news, I finally beat Katamari Damacy in the spare gaps of time between classes and around dinnertimes.  Katamari Damacy is the most memorable, creative, refreshing, and just plain freakin' FUN game that I have seen in quite a while.  I'm thinking of a Tetris type of plain fun and universal appeal here.  And to sweeten the pot even more, the soundtrack is absolutely wonderful!  I haven't gotten the tunes out of my head for days, and I don't plan on it since I unlocked the sound library in the game.

My final comments:  I am very glad that guys do not have to shop around for a new outfit every time a formal (or semi-formal) event comes rolling around.  Given a diverse enough collection of ties and dress shirts at the present time, we could go on for decades without buying any new formalware.  And if I have money, then I can eat food!  Just pray that she doesn't get a pink dress and expect you to wear a pink shirt to match her.  But if she does... then I never wrote that last sentence and whatever she says is absolute, indisputable law.

Next post:  Iron Chef Morimoto Comes to CMU!  First-hand accounts after the weather and sports.  Tonight at 11, only on Meiche TV.
